Bratislava is the capital and largest city of Slovakia, in the south-west of the country at the foot of the Little Carpathians, on both banks of the Danube. According to Wikipedia (EN), the city proper has about 479,000 inhabitants and the metropolitan area about 1.3 million. It is the only national capital with land borders with two other states, Austria and Hungary, and it lies a few dozen kilometres from Vienna. As Pressburg, it was the capital of the Kingdom of Hungary from 1536 to 1783, and eleven kings and eight queens were crowned in its cathedral, according to the same source. The centre is small, almost entirely pedestrian and dominated by a white castle, so two or three days are enough to see it. Flights to Bratislava are mainly operated by low-cost airlines, so a SniperAir alert saves you checking every day. You set your budget, we compare new prices with the real price history of the route and we let you know.
