Medinas & craftsmanship
The souks and Andalusian architecture make Morocco's medinas essential places to explore. Nine sites are on the UNESCO World Heritage List, including the medinas of Fez (1981), Marrakesh (1985), Tetouan and Essaouira, the ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou and the city of Meknes.
