An ochre city and its palm trees

The medina ramparts
Oujda's crenellated walls, made of ochre earth, have several towers and gates. Wikipedia (FR) names Bab Sidi Abdelwahab, Bab Lakhmis, Bab Oulad Amrane and Bab el-Gharbi among the gates. Per Wikipedia (EN), the town was rebuilt with new walls after 1296 under the Marinids.

A pointed-arch gate
The gates, in Arab-Andalusian style, link the medina to the rest of the city. Late-afternoon sun gives them orange tones. Wikipedia (FR) notes the city has gates of notable architecture.

The Mohammed VI mosque
This modern building is visible from several districts thanks to its minaret. The water jets in front of the mosque make an end-of-day setting. Access to places of worship depends on local rules and prayer times: ask on site.

Bab el-Gharbi square
Bab el-Gharbi, also called Bab Sidi Aissa per Wikipedia (DE), is the medina's western gate. An open square with palms and benches lies in front. It is a good starting point for entering the medina.
